The Iranian Albino Huso Huso sturgeon is the exclusive source of Almas caviar. This fish can only be found in the purest parts of the Caspian Sea, which gives the Almas caviar its distinctive flavor.


These sturgeons are anadromous, meaning they spend most of their time in saltwater before migrating upstream to lay eggs in freshwater. These beautiful creatures have a life expectancy from 60 to 100 years.

 

What differentiates Almas caviar from other white albino fish roe?

Caviar from albino sterlet sturgeons is also white and looks pretty similar to the roe of the Iranian Huso Huso sturgeon. However, Sterlet sturgeon and other white albino fish roe are ranked second to that of Iranian Almas caviar, which has a creamier and richer taste.
